How Much Does a Maternity Photoshoot Cost in the Seattle Area
If you've been searching "how much are maternity photos," you've probably noticed that most Seattle photographers vary, and it can be hard to find one answer that you can plan in your budget. Here's exactly what a maternity session with me costs, and what's included, so you can decide with real information in hand.
Maternity photoshoot costs vary depending on what is asked
Maternity photography prices in Seattle vary widely because what's included varies widely: some quotes cover only the photographer's time, and the gowns, styling, and every finished image cost extra. That's why comparing bottom-line numbers alone can be misleading.
My pricing, in plain numbers
My maternity sessions start at $350 for a mini session, with a full session at $695 and a VIP experience at $995. No hidden fees, no surprises at checkout, and, no minimum purchase. After your session, you'll view your images the same day and choose only the photos you love.
For most Seattle-area families, that entry point makes professional maternity photography affordable. I've priced it so you don't have to choose between documenting it and your nursery budget.
What's included that you won't pay extra for
- The gown. My studio wardrobe of 70+ maternity dresses is available with every studio session, which means you skip the single biggest hidden cost of maternity photos: buying a photoshoot dress you'll wear exactly once.
- Posing and styling guidance. With 25 years of experience photographing women, I direct every pose, you never have to worry about what to do with your hands. That expertise is built into the session, not billed on top of it.
- Same-day viewing and ordering. You see your finished-quality images right after we shoot and make your selections on the spot. No weeks of waiting, no pressure-filled second appointment.
- A dedicated studio. Your session happens in a private, climate-controlled space in Everett not a rented hour in someone else's location with the meter running. I'll do everything to keep you comfortable
The add-on worth knowing about
Professional hair and makeup is available for any session, a 90-minute in-studio appointment, with your shoot starting the moment you're camera-ready. It's the one upgrade my clients most consistently say was worth it.
The best value: bundle maternity and newborn
If you're planning newborn photos too the smartest money move is the Bump-to-Baby Bundle at $1,495. It covers both your maternity and newborn sessions and includes professional hair and makeup for each, at a lower total than booking everything separately. One decision, two milestones, and your newborn date is already reserved before the baby arrives which, trust me, is one less thing you'll want to think about at 2 a.m. with a week-old baby.
Compare for yourself
I've written a deeper look at what goes into maternity session pricing if you want the full picture. But the short version is this: when the dress, the styling help, the studio, and same-day ordering are all included, the number on the price tag means something different than it does elsewhere. Better value better experience, keeping it simple for new moms.
