The Best Wedding Photographers in Seattle for Hopeless Romantics
I'm Irene Jones, and I have been a Seattle Wedding Photographer since 1999. I love photographing real moments, genuine laughter, and heartfelt tears that turn a wedding into a deeply rich and personal narrative. My experience with people enables me to help couples and their families feel natural in front of the camera so that I can capture everyone at their best. My work blends authentic moments with dramatic light, vivid colors, and personal stories.
Photojournalistic Wedding Photography
Finding someone to share your victories and hold your hand through heartache is a reason to celebrate! I will capture the reality and beauty of your happiness. To accomplish this goal, I try to capture life as it happens during your event. I look for the best angles and moments with emotional content so you can relive the experience again and again.
Photojournalism (aka lifestyle photography or documentary wedding photography) is all about storytelling, but don't worry, during family and couples portraits I will still give you the direction you need to look and feel natural, not stiff or overly posed. I will guide you through the more intentional photos and step back to capture life as it happens when appropriate. You can learn more about my approach to photography in the wedding photography styles guide below.
Storytelling is the key to quality wedding photography and all stories are welcome at IJ Photo. Couples of all orientations, skin colors and cultural backgrounds are welcome.
Wedding photos are the most important photographic investment you will ever make. On your special day, loved ones will gather, tears of joy will be shed, and you will join yourself to the one person you can’t live without. These memories deserve to be honored in a creative and timeless way, and that’s where I come in. My goal is to observe what is deep in your heart and pull it into focus. Choosing IJ Photo means ensuring quality artwork, sincere customer service, and exceeded expectations all along the way.
Northwest Wedding Photography Cost
I will not sugar coat the facts: weddings are expensive, and planning a wedding in Seattle is no exception. To help my clients get the best possible value for their money, I do my best to provide more than just digital files. Some of these upgraded services include:
Quick response times to emails, texts, and phone calls. My clients love that I answer emails/text promptly and do my best to answer all of their questions thoroughly. (If you haven't heard from me within 24 hours, you can be sure that your message was eaten by the Internet and I did not receive it!)
Straight forward pricing and policies. You never have to worry about hidden costs or unforeseen circumstances. This is especially important in 2020 when Covid-19 has delayed many couple’s plans.
I'm up for anything. I have very few restrictions and limited travel fees, because I believe art is an adventure! I want to hear your crazy ideas and make them happen. If you want to photograph on a mountain top at night, I'll say, "Hold on while I grab my hiking boots and a coat!"
Your session will be fun! Your photos will include genuine laughs and smiles, because you will honestly enjoy yourself. I'll direct you every step of the way, and you'll be able to forget you're even doing a photo session and just relax.
You aren't just another client to me. I genuinely like my clients and want to do my very best for them. In fact, I value them so much that I've been known to bake thank-you gifts (my specialty is French macarons) just to say thank you!
This attention to detail is how I provide sincere customer service. Adding all these personal touches to your package makes the value far greater than the price tag. It's also and the reason clients come back for family photos year after year.
