This Woodmark Hotel Wedding was an amazing sight to behold. Marie and Bryan’s two years of planning really paid off. Everywhere you turned there were lovely details or romantic moments to be photographed. One of the first things Marie said to me when I arrived was “have you seen the greenery in the tent?” I went down to take a look at the tent where the ceremony and reception would be held, and I was not disappointed! The leaves hanging from the tent with the chandelier and cafe’ lights would set a beautiful mood for their perfect day.
Love Notes and Happy Tears
Bryan surprised Marie with several gifts through the morning. Champaign, roses, jewelry, this guy really knows how to win a girls heart. Marie gave Bryan prints from their engagement session, a boudoir session, and they both exchanged heartfelt letters. It was touching to see them both shed happy tears as they read these personal love letters.
Marie’s mother passed away and while she wasn’t able to physically be at the wedding she too had a love note for her daughter in the form of a ring that Marie wore on her wedding day. Between the ring, the letters, and the first look the entire morning was a bundle of emotions for both bride and groom. I loved the expression on Bryan’s face when he saw Marie in her wedding dress. His love for her is so sweet and gentle. I must admit I cried a little too!
Ceremony and Reception
Their ceremony was perfect. Their vows were personal and sincere. The tent looked amazing with all of the greenery and the bridesmaids and groomsmen looked so elegant walking up the aisle. After their kind words and a passionate kiss, the new Mr. and Mrs. escaped for a quick boat ride at sunset along Lake Washington. Upon their return to the Woodmark Hotel, the reception was ready and quite honestly breathtaking! I loved the table settings, the cake, even the seating chart looked regal.
The fun started with some toasting/roasting of the bride and groom by their friends and family. As the night set in everyone went inside for dancing and a few more drinks. After a while, it was time to say goodbye with a sparkler send-off in front of the main entrance.
Thank you, Bryan and Marie, for the honor of photographing your special day. You are a wonderful pair. I hope your lives are filled with joy, laughter, and love all of your days.
