An engagement photo session in March can be a bit of a gamble. On the plus side there is spring blossoms happening all around, on the negative side, it could rain at any moment. When a client has a deadline for their engagement photos to be done and turned into Save the Date cards, it’s important that we do them rain or shine. This was the case with Tiffany and Chris who are getting married later this summer. This adorable couple came into my studio and we photographed there as well as in the rain outside the building. I’m excited to share a few favorites with you now!
We started with a pillow fight, because, well we can. This made for a fun series of photos. Luckily they were happy to kiss and make up after. My studio has this amazing green, tan, and brown brick wall that obviously used to be a building exterior. It’s faded colors make for one of my favorite backgrounds. There are several rooms besides the main area in the studio and all of them are decorated differently. Our next stop was outside the library where the large windows let in some lovely light and the blue walls and tile add some drama. From there it looks like we traveled to east Asia, but we really just went around the corner. Here Tiffany and Chris toasted to their love. I also wanted the session to include a few black and white photos and we shot the first one by candle light for a little romance. Then we braved the cold wet March weather of Seattle to take our engagement photo session out in the rain. (Side note about 50 ft from where the last image was taken is the site of the Greenwood explosion that happened earlier this month. Greenwood is a wonderful neighborhood and it’s been awesome to see people around here come together and support each other. ) Thanks again to Chris and Tiffany for a really fun engagement photo session. I’m looking forward to your wedding!
