For this Seattle engagement session we visited a few of my favorite locations that show off some of the greatest things about our emerald city. Here’s a few of the highlights:
Our first stop was quiet corner in between Pike Place Market and the waterfront. One of the best parts of the shoot was how natural the chemistry between Yvette and Scott was. These two smiled and laughed together non stop, making their photo look effortless. I loved seeing how kind and thoughtful Scott was and how happy Yvette looked just being near to him.
Next we headed down to the Olympic Sculpture Park and enjoyed the greenery and art. Finally we headed to Kerry Park for a few shots with the Seattle skyline. Upon arrival we found LOTS of teens using the spot for a photo-op pre-prom. It was fun to see all of the teens dressed up in ballgowns and sneakers! Yvette and I had a good laugh about the choice of footwear (her’s is fantastic if you haven’t noticed). All the while Scott was a great sport when it came to dealing with the crowded tourist attraction.
Seattle is filled with great engagement session locations, but they often take planning and flexibility. I would have loved to taken this adorable couple to the waterfront but due to construction that wasn’t going to work. And the Seattle Center was mobbed with people due to Folklife Festival. The key to making a Seattle engagement session work is planning ahead. To help minimize parking fees we chose to carpool, and by choosing destinations that were close together we were able to maximize the variety of our session with little hassle.
One more thing I need to mention; thanks to Scott for paying for my parking at the Olympic Sculpture Garden. I completely missed the pay station and forgot to pay. His quick thinking saved me from getting a parking fine. 🙂
