Gasworks Park Elopement
Zoe and Andy lived on opposite sides of the world, but fell in love anyway. She’s a brilliant Lawyer, he’s in the Navy. Work brought him to her and fate brought them to Seattle this summer where I photographed their Gasworks Park Elopement.
A Scenic Seattle Ceremony
After getting ready at a local Airbnb Zoe met Andy atop of Kite Hill with just a few friends and family. Here they exchanged rings and vows as the wind blustered around them. After their brief ceremony, we took a tour of the city in their limo for some pictures. First, we went to Pike Place Market and then on to Kerry Park. Through the whole day, the beautiful Seattle skyline was a key player in their coast to
A Intimate Reception
After photos we met at a resturant with the guests from the ceremony for a lovely meal, toasting, cake cutting, and bouquet toss. Zoe brought some Australian treats to share. My favorite cookie is a Tim Tam. Zoe showed everyone the correct way to use this dessert as a straw.
What I loved most about this Gasworks Parks Elopement was the feeling of it all. Both Andy and Zoe would travel the whole world just to be together. They didn’t allow time or distance to get in the way of sharing their hearts with one another. Their wedding was perfect because it was about the people, the love, the relationships they were building, and the deep connection that exists between all of us.
Best part is a few weeks later Zoe told me that they were expecting! Their baby will grow up with parents that would do anything for one another; what a true gift! Thank you to Zoe’s and Andy’s families for your hospitality and kindness. It was a joy to photograph this special day.
