Today’s blog post is a Blessed Sacrament Church Wedding in Seattle WA, on May 19, 2018. I am excited to share some of the photos from Victoria and Evan’s heart-filled, perfect day.
Getting Ready at the Woodmark Hotel and Still Spa
The Woodmark Hotel is one of my favorite spots for a wedding and a reception. Victoria and Evan both had rooms here in the AM where they prepped before headed to Blessed Sacrament Church for the ceremony. Victoria’s friends created a beautiful scrapbook for her that they gave as a gift that morning. Additionally, Victoria’s sister brought a photo of her beloved grandma who has passed so Victoria could feel her close during this special time. I loved the idea of incorporating her photo with the dress and accessories. Across the hotel, Evan and his groomsmen enjoyed some laughs about difficult cufflinks and a few shots. I have to add thanks to Victoria’s friend Janae for doing an amazing job with all of the ladies hair and Off White Beauty for the skilled makeup work. What a great team!
Blessed Sacrament Church Wedding, A U-District Landmark
Anyone who has driven I-5 through Seattle knows at least the backside of Blessed Sacrament Church. It’s iconic steeple can be seen from the freeway. If you haven’t visited this historic site it is well worth the trip. The gardens along the side of the building were in full bloom for Victoria and Evan. This made a perfect spot for an emotional first look with her father and group photos after. During the ceremony, I was blown away by the beautiful light coming through the windows of Blessed Sacrament. Each stained glass gave off a unique color that added depth to the images and a soft, romantic look to the photos. After the ceremony concluded we did a few more family photos and then some portraits of Victoria and Evan. My favorite shot was one of the whole building with Victoria and Evan sharing a passionate kiss.
Back at the Woodmark Hotel, we took a few more photos by the water before the grand entrance. The reception was in the tent often used for events at the Woodmark and Katie and Emily from Sprinkled in Seattle Events did an amazing job creating an elegant and romantic atmosphere! I especially loved the details of the florals on the back of the chairs, the cafe lights, and menus. Victoria and Evan had a great signature cocktail as well. (Love these little touches!) Toby Nelson Wedding and Events provided the florals. The soft colors, loose flowing bouquet, and arrangements really complemented the style that Victoria and Evan were going for.
The party really got going after the cake (From Whole Foods) was cut. Integral DJs did a great job keeping everyone on the dance floor. An Armenian dance was a fun highlight along with with a bouquet toss and sparkler exit. The best part of this wedding was seeing the way that Victoria and Evan interacted. You couldn’t help by notice the soft way he rubbed the back of her had during the ceremony or the way she spoke to him with loving glances and stolen smiles. This is a pair that was destined for a happily ever after.
