Charlie and Elizabeth are not that kind of people who like the spotlight. In fact I am not sure they even wanted a big wedding. But thankfully they have amazing family and friends that pulled together to make their wedding at Bell Harbor a wonderful success!
When I arrived at the Marriott Hotel down the street from Bell Harbor I had never even spoken to Elizabeth. This is highly unusual for me. I had spoken to her sister Megan (also Maid of Honor) a few times, though. I had no idea what I was going to find.
I was pleasantly surprised to find the Elizabeth was funny, charming, and excited about getting to be with the man of her dreams. From the windows in the hotel room we could actually see Charlie and his groomsmen across the street on the roof of Bell Harbor International Conference Center. I walked over and introduced myself. Together, Charlie and I planned their first look. Elizabeth joined us shortly and we got some photos of this cute pair before headed to St. James Cathedral for the ceremony.
A Charming Pair
St James is one of the best known and most beautiful churches in Seattle. I love the layout of the building that allows people to be seated in 4 different directions. I do not care for how dark it is on a November day! It was challenging to photograph in this space but I was pleased with the little moments we were able to capture. I especially liked the moments where Charlie and Elizabeth broke into a smile or a laugh. After the
Laughter was everywhere during the reception. Elizabeth moved from table to table with ease as she greeted guests and enjoyed friendly conversations. Then, after some heartfelt toasts it was time for the cake cutting. Elizabeth attacked Charlie with cake and ran to protect herself from any retaliation! He was such a good sport about the whole thing. My favorite moment was their first dance. Charlie couldn’t take his eyes off his bride and as the song ended he dipped her back into the most romantic kiss! It was a great end to a lovely day.
Thank you to all of the family and friends that worked so hard to make this day magic and for inviting me to be apart of this lovely celebration!
