A golf course is always a great wedding location. Bear Creek Country Club is the lovely spot on the Eastside that Julie and Drew chose for a number of reasons. They liked the tented ceremony area, the lovely view, and the delicious catering! I liked the mature trees, perfect greens, and sprawling water features. Julie enjoyed doing a lot of DIY projects for her wedding and was blessed with talented friends and family to help her accomplish her designs. Friends provided the space and skill for hair and makeup, siblings and parents worked together on floral arrangements, and Julie did all the chalkboard signs herself.
My favorite moment from their wedding was during the ceremony. It was so cute to watch this couple together. Neither Julie or Drew could wipe a smile off their face through the entire ceremony! I especially loved the moment when Julie’s parents gave her away, it was easy to see they love and admiration between her and her parents.
Before the ceremony we had a great time touring the golf course and photographing this pair. Drew was a little uncomfortable in front of the camera so I did my best to direct them along the way. Over the years I’ve developed a shooting style that helps everyone to feel and look natural in photos. Plus it doesn’t hurt that he was marrying a very beautiful and thoughtful women!
During their reception they shared a lovely first dance and I was able to capture the dip and kiss right at the end ( you wouldn’t believe how hard that is!) I felt really blessed to get to know Julie and Drew on their wedding day and photograph memories for them. I love meeting good, fun loving people like these two. It’s such a joy to know that my work helps them honor their love for years to come. It’s a very special gift to be apart of the most important day of someone’s life. I will always love this job!
