Set on a hill just above the farm lands of Ebey Island there is A Chapel on Swan’s Trail. This lovely wedding venue is a romantic trip back in time, and the perfect setting for a wedding. On July 23rd, Morgan and Dan were married here and I witnessed (camera in hand) some beautiful moments shared between these two people so deeply in love.
Our day started with some getting ready photos of both the bride and groom. Dan got ready in the chapel while Morgan and her bridesmaids shared the small cabin at the back of the property. Morgan’s family came together in a truly selfless way to help make this wedding everything the couple imagined. Her dress was handmaid by her aunt and she did an amazing job. I love the lace detailing on the back so much!
During our first look Dan was overwhelmed by emotion at the sight of Morgan. His tears effected both me and my assistant Jess, and we knew that their love was something special. Morgan and Dan’s connection is obvious to anyone who spends just a few minutes with them. They love to laugh together, they can’t help but hold each other tight, and they are never more happy then when they are together. Take note folks, this is what love looks like.
Their ceremony was a beautiful celebration of that love. Vows and tears filled the chapel as everyone in attendance announced their commitment to help the newlyweds build a strong family together. The scene was so perfect. A Chapel on Swan’s Trail first came into service in 1916. It’s intimate size and historic details added to the wedding’s charm. I loved how the light filled the building during the ceremony and how all the 100 year old benches were filled with loved ones of both bride and groom. Being married in a place like A Chapel on Swan’s Trail makes Dan and Morgan’s apart of a rich history.
After a lovely cocktail hour this sweet couple joined with their family and friends for a fun reception filled with toasting, dancing, and many renewed friendships. Congratulations to you both Morgan and Dan. May God bless your union and may you always remember how you felt on your special day.
