Photographing A Chapel on Swans Trail is like stepping back in time to the turn of the 20th century. This historic location is intimate, comfy, and romantic. Morgan and Dan’s wedding was a memorable day! I’m excited to share it with you now. When I first met Morgan and Dan she mentioned how her Aunt was going to make her wedding dress for her. Little did I know how lovely the results would be. Her custom lace gown fit perfectly with the decor at A Chapel on Swans Trail and made Morgan look like she too had stepped out of the pages of history. The chapel itself is beautiful restored. Luckily for me the lighting in the chapel was bright and open thanks to it’s lovely windows.
Dan and Morgan were both moved to tears during their ceremony. As their priest blessed their marriage and spoke of the love they feel for one another everyone felt the love they have for one another. Many in the chapel were moved as well and the whole event had a very elevated yet personal feeling. The couple greeted guests under the shade of the large tree in front of the Chapel after the ceremony. Then everyone enjoyed a cocktail hour on the lawn. The evening was filled with dancing and lawn games including a giant Jenga, Bocce Ball, and Horse Shoes.
My favorite part was the cake cutting that happened just as the sun set. Dan and Morgan’s cake was placed in the gazebo and after sharing a bit of their own they asked Morgan’s grandparents to also cut a slice since it was their wedding anniversary. This perfectly ended a beautiful day focused on family, tradition, and all things worth remembering.
Dan and Morgan, it’s my hope that your love is as timeless and beautiful every day as it was the day you were married. Thank you for your trust and your friendship.
