Seattle Wedding Show Wrap Up

Seattle Wedding Show Wrap Up

Exactly 48 hours ago the Seattle Wedding Show opened up at the Washington State convention center and I began my yearly ritual of participating in the Northwest largest and most comprehensive wedding show. Brides from all over the country the attended as they planned their weddings with friends, family, and the spouses that were willing to miss a fantastic Seahawks game. In my opinion it was one of the best wedding shows to date! By Sunday at 2 PM we had already passed out over 1000 brochures and booked several new clients. As usual, I chose to wear 4 inch heels and I will spend the rest of the week regretting that decision. For those of you that attended the show and stopped by my booth to chat, I want to give you a giant thank you! From a vendor’s perspective the shows are immensely challenging. We love meeting with new brides, so the difficulties of long hours, carrying heavy equipment, and facing several sleepless nights in a row is totally worth it! Plus we understand that brides are under similar pressures. For those of you that did not attend, and are wondering what the hubbub is about, here’s a few things you need to know.

  1. ¬†During the Seattle wedding show I offer a 10% discount to anyone that books. This is a savings of at least $250 right off the top! I’m happy to announce that I’m extending this offer through the end of the week. Book your wedding with me before January 19, 2014 and you’ll receive a 10% discount on any package I offer or a custom package. All you need to do is mention that you attended the Seattle wedding show and that you read about this offer on my blog. This discount is only available to those who attended.
  2. On Saturday we passed out a thousand postcards with two special offers. The first special offer was to add cinematography to your wedding package for only $600 in addition to the base package price. This offer is available to anyone interested. You did not have to attend the Seattle Wedding Show to take advantage of this great deal. The second offer was a $200 album credits or free engagement session. This offer is also available to anyone who books the wedding before January 30th.
  3. ¬†If you’re not sure yet if I’m the right photographer for you I suggest you book a consultation. Let’s get together and talk about the services and products I offer. I’ll bring samples and share stories of the many weddings I have photographed in my 15 years as a photographer. Consultations are always free, no pressure, relaxed, and fun! Then if after a cup of coffee or two you decide that everything looks right for your wedding day, all it takes is a signed contract and $500 deposit to secure your wedding package.

Again I wanted to extend my sincere thanks to all the brides who attended and also my thanks to the Seattle Wedding Show for all the work they did to make this a spectacular event for both vendors and consumers alike. Also like to give a great thank you to all of the other vendors that are always so much fun to swap stories with. Can’t wait for the next show in 2015!

Out of curiosity I Googled “Seattle Portrait Photographer” this morning. There were over 2 MILLION results. My first thought was, “how is a consumer ever supposed to find the right photographer in that environment? Then I headed to Facebook. Out of the nearly 900 people that like my Facebook page a good portion of themContinue Reading

Every time someone new comes in my house I hear the same thing, “Wow, you’re like a REAL photographer.” I want to reply, “what did you think I was lying?” Instead I just smile. My living room has four 36×40 inch prints decorating the fireplace wall. One for each child and one of my husbandContinue Reading
