Win An Engagement Session!

engagement photo ij photo irene jones True Love. It’s something we all want, rejoice in when we see it in others, and once in a great while we have the privilege of sharing it. My daily work routine puts me in the path of many couples who have found real lasting love. It’s always an honor to learn more about a couple. Countless clients have shared with me creative proposal stories, or tales of how awkward their first date was. I couldn’t help but think, wouldn’t it be fun to share these stories with everyone? Then I thought, what if there was a contest to find the BEST love story? That quickly grew into, “What if I gave away an engagement session to the couple with the best story?” And that is how this month’s contest was born! Here’s how it works.

If you are engaged to be married in 2014 or 2015 (of 2016 if you’re really good at planning ahead) you can enter to win a engagement session photographed by yours truly. This session has a $300 value and is highly coveted my all of my clients. Entering is easy. You simply need to email irene@ijphoto.net the following things:

  1. Your full names
  2. Your true love story in 250 words or less
  3. A photo of the happy couple. (selfies encouraged!)

That’s it! I’ll post stories on my blog and send you a link to share with friends, family, and the social media sphere. You simply share the link and encourage everyone you know to visit the blog and vote for your story. To vote just click on the greenĀ  “thumbs up” at the top of the page. On May 9 I’ll announce a winner on the blog and post their engagement photos shortly there after! Don’t forget to post the link on facebook, twitter, and any social media you use again and again because votes can be cast each day. The couple with the most votes wins!

While you’re here, you can check out my posts about locations for an engagement photos sessions, why you should do an engagement session in the first place, how an engagement session will make your wedding photos better, advice for planning your engagement session, samples of recent engagement sessions, and my video that shows what to do with your portraits once the session is over.

Of course some restrictions apply so here’s the fine print: Available to couples who are planning a wedding between 2014-2016, who have not contracted a photographer for their wedding date, currently reside in Washington state or are willing to travel to Seattle, WA for their engagement session. The value of the engagement session is $300 and cannot be transferred to another person or exchanged for cash value. Prize does not include prints, wall portraits, albums, digital files or any other photographic services. Prize must be claimed by the winning party and engagement session scheduled by May 30, 2014. Session is up to 2 hours in length on location or studio. Travel fees may apply based upon location. Other restrictions may apply. Contact Irene Jones for more information.

Planning your Seattle Engagement Photo Session

This time of year I am knee deep in engagement photo sessions. 99% of my wedding clients book an engagement session and many couples considering me for their 2015 wedding will book an engagement session as a sort of “try-before-you-buy” scenario. I’ve been shooting wedding and engagements here in Seattle for 15 years and I’veContinue Reading
