Christmas 1990 was the year I received my first camera. Because there were no interchangeable lenses, there was no need to worry about f-stops or shutter speeds. The film was 12mm wide and everything I photographed was out of focus. That camera has long since been retired, but my love of light and composition is unwavering.

I have been shooting professionally since 1999 and it never gets old. No matter how many times I’ve witnessed it, I still get excited each time I see a bride enter the room and the audience rises to their feet. And although I’ve photographed countless families and children, I am always glad to meet new customers and share important milestones. Each time I look through my viewfinder there is always a new story to tell. I love what I do, and I feel that it shows in my work and my character.

On top of owning a growing business, I’m the mother of three darling children. Tyler, Audrey and Alex. They provide a lot of laughs, and challenge me to be a better person every day.

In our family, creativity runs in our blood. Both of my parents are avid amateur photographers, among their many other imaginative pursuits. So it was somewhat natural to find that I was also interested in many expressive fields; including drama, painting,  fashion design and, of course, photography. In 2007, my sister Irene had an opening for a new assistant and I jumped on the opportunity.  Working with Irene has been a wonderful growing experience. My life is now seen exclusively though my camera’s viewfinder as I work to enhance my skills and learn everything I can.

I am blessed to be married to my wonderful husband, James. In March we are expecting our first child.
