Welcome to the World: Peyton is Here!

I have been photographing a lot of boys as of late, so when I heard that my friend and former clients Rachael and Josh (I photographed their wedding) were having a little girl I was so excited! Peyton is just adorable and it was nice to use pink tones and frilly girl props. Here’s a few of my favorites.

I must say right off the bat I’m not normally one to do muted tones and light saturation, I just think it’s cliche’. That being said, I also feel that if you’re going to do a cliche’ style, do it better then everyone else! I’m pretty proud of the results. The next image is full color on the same background.  I can’t quite decide which I like better, so feel free to add your two cents in the comments.

Finally, this shot is a collaboration between Peyton’s Mom, Grandma and myself. They had the idea, I had the camera. I really like it cropped square and with the slight border. There is a lot going on in the image, but I don’t think the different elements compete. The spotted background is my favorite part.
